Dorney Park

We all know Dorney Park for the massive amusement park there and the endless seasonal activities. Often forgotten is the Wildwater Kingdom Water Park, opening in Late May every year and closing after the summer/warm season. Wildwater Kingdom has dozens of great water attractions that are a great way to spend a day, or even a few, in the warm seasons. One of the main attractions is “Python Plummett”, a system of high speed slides that empty into a giant pool. There are also a number of wave pools and a huge lazy river, so Wildwater Kingdom is perfect for water park goers of all ages.

One of the most unique water parks around is CamelBeach. The name may sound familiar to you because it is built on the popular skiing destination, Camelback Mountain. During the summer months, the mountain is home to one of the best water parks around. CamelBeach has tons of different water attractions, including the fan favorite FlowRider, the surfing simulator often found on cruise ships. One of the other most popular attractions at the park is the Kahuna Lagoon Wavepool, home to the biggest wavepool waves in the northeastern United States! Beyond just the water attractions, CamelBeach has all kinds of fun warm weather attractions like bungee jumping, rock climbing, ziplining, Segway tours, and so much more!

Great Wolf Lodge

Looking to enjoy all the fun of a water park beyond just the summer season? Great Wolf Lodge is a massive indoor water park in the Poconos that is open all year long! Great Wolf Lodge has all the attractions you would find at an outdoor water park like high speed slides and huge pools. Another unique aspect of Great Wolf Lodge is the hotel. You can stay under the same roof where the water park is! Great Wolf Lodge is great for families as they offer daily activities and even have a few characters that hang around the lodge to entertain guests! Great Wolf Lodge is complete with dining options and even a pool/spa for groups that are staying in the hotel.

Dutch Springs

For those looking for more of a natural water park experience, Dutch Springs located in Bethlehem is the perfect spot. This waterpark has no slides, wave pools, or chlorine. Dutch Springs is a unique park located on a huge lake. The lake has massive inflatable attractions great for climbing and jumping into the water. There is also a large portion of the lake that is designated for snorkeling and observing the wildlife. You can rent kayaks, paddleboards, and other watercraft to enjoy a day out on the lake.
